“ Delicious!! Genuine dim sum served on hot plates to keep warm. Very clean and friendly staff. I'm so glad to find this place. I will definitely let all my friends know. ”
“ This is a favorite of ours. We get both the dim sum and regular food items. Dim sum is good...specifically the shrimp dumplings, chicken and pork sui mai. The regular menu has been pretty solid. Would recommend honey walnut prawns, Mongolian beef, BBQ pork, won ton soup, and fried rice. Friendly service. Time is takes for food to arrive isn't bad. Regular menu is just a little pricey but other than that, would highly recommend. ”
“ I started coming here a lot more frequently after another local dim sum spot closed down. It's located in downtown Pinole, in an area with a decent amount of street parking and a small parking lot. Be warned that it may be hard to find parking on days when there's also the local farmer's market being run. The food here is solid. Good dim sum that you would expect. I don't have any negative experiences with any of the dishes. My favorites are the lo mai gai and cha siu bao. In terms of service, the staff have always been very friendly. I believe it's a family-run business. ”
“ Dined in as a little treat after the work week. I specialty came for dumpling service but I would definitely come back for more, as they gave such a great impression! Service was fast and excellent, tea was delicious, and all of my dumplings came out hot, fresh and delicious. I also ordered roasted duck which was pretty yummy except just a bit more salty for my palette. It probably would not have felt that way had I not ordered a la carte and had rice to go with it. All in all, I'd definitely come back for another meal. ”
“ I love coming back to my hometown to have dinner with my family at local spots that are comforting and warm the soul. After a cocktail at Pear Street, we walked over to King Valley Tea House for dim sum/dinner. I have yet to come here for dim sum on the weekends after the Pinole Farmers Market (what a dreamy Saturday that sounds like!), but love any chance I can get to have a bao bun or two. And the fact they have "dinner dim sum" is an incredibly cool talking point. Lots of items ordered, but overall highlights were the steamed chicken buns and dry sautéed string beans for dim sum fun, and on the regular menu potstickers, sesame chicken, and the Hong Kong-style crispy pan-fried noodles. I haven't had these noodles for years, and they truly hit the spot. Always presented in a glass serving dish, these crispy noodles are served on a bed of gravy with bok choy, other vegetables & proteins, and when mixed together, a hearty classic. Hands down one of my favorite noodle dishes..the way the gravy coats every noodle makes me just so incredibly happy. No noodle left behind! All other dishes were solid, flavorful, and did the trick. The owners are so friendly and service was quick and efficient. Very large space which I can only imagine fills up quickly on weekends. Looking forward to rolling through more menu items if/when we return to Pinole next! One thing to note is their hours, just refresh before going. Plenty of parking also! ”
“ Today I introduced Nina to King Valley Tea House. She came to my house and we drove together, since I knew where it was. I had intended to call them beforehand to reserve an order of the baked car siu bao but ran out of time. Nina called when we were on the way and they had already sold out. Sad shrug. I parked in front and we were seated at a table for 4 and brought jasmine tea. Next time we will get chrysanthemum, which is Nina's favorite. On the table was a menu to mark to order, along w/ a pencil. We ordered steamed char siu bao, reasoning that the char siu would be good. We also ordered Chinese broccoli, siu mai, shrimp stuffed eggplant, shrimp stuffed green pepper, xlb, shrimp and corn dumplings and a mango pudding dessert. Dishes came as they were ready and everything was delicious. Nina was very impressed. The mango pudding was a wonderful finish. Nina took home the remaining char siu bao, a stuffed eggplant and half the broccoli. I took home the rest of the broccoli and will probably add it to my dinner. We will definitely return. ”
“ Classic dim sum experience Still have yet to encounter a good dim sum spot on the peninsula. Decided to stop here on the way back from Sonoma. This place has all the classic fare and a few special dishes. The shrimp stuffed mushrooms were excellent! The dishes were all good, service was efficient, and prices were reasonable. Wish there were more options like this on the peninsula ”
